Relation names president, finance chief

Relation Insurance Inc. on Thursday promoted two executives in the latest set of leadership changes at the acquisitive brokerage.

Walnut Creek, California-based Relation named Russell Brown president and Charissa Hartmann chief financial officer.

Previously, Mr. Brown was chief revenue officer and Ms. Hartmann was chief accounting officer.

Tim Hall, who previously was president of Relation, was named CEO of the brokerage in June.

Former chief financial officer, John Galaviz, joined rival brokerage Patriot Growth Insurance Services LLC earlier this month.

Relation is the 36th-largest brokerage of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance’s most recent ranking.
