The Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division on Wednesday removed the facial covering and physical distancing requirements of its COVID-19 rules for workplaces with certain exceptions, including health care, public transit and airports.
Oregon OSHA said the lifting of the facial covering and distancing requirements — which went into effect immediately — is “consistent with previous public announcements about the reopening of Oregon, including by Gov. Kate Brown and the Oregon Health Authority.”
However, some of Oregon OSHA’s COVID-19 requirements will remain in place, including ventilation rules, notification of a positive case in the workplace, and proper steps required if an employee must quarantine.
