Most office workers OK with temperature checks: Survey

Fifty-three percent of office workers surveyed in late April say they are comfortable with going back to work and of them, 73% say they would be OK with workplace temperature checks, according to results released Thursday by New York-based human resources technology firm Hibob Inc.

The online survey of 1,000 workers also found that 65% are confident their workplaces could overcome operational challenges of getting back to the traditional workspace and 87% said they felt their companies have been keeping staff informed of changes and measures taken in response to COVID-19.

For those who expressed interest in returning to work, 42% revealed their primary reason for wanting to go back was to resume everyday routines, whereas 20% said they were most looking forward to seeing their colleagues face-to-face, according to the results.

Sixty-three percent of participants said they are comfortable with wearing a face mask, gloves, and maintaining six feet of distance.

Meanwhile, 40% of participants would like the option of working remote or coming into the office a few days a week, whereas 36% prefer to work in the office entirely, according to the results.
