Safety National hires public entity underwriting director

Safety National Casualty Corp. on Thursday said Susan Kostro has joined the insurer as director of public entity underwriting.

Previously, Boston-based Ms. Kostro was head of commercial lines at Arbella Insurance Group from 2019 and prior to that was chief underwriting officer for public entity business at Liberty Mutual Insurance Co.

At Safety National she will be responsible for underwriting multiline public entity accounts and developing the business.
