The Nevada Occupational Safety and Health Administration will not require vaccinated workers to wear masks, according to a statement issued Friday.
The new rule followed Thursday’s announcement by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that vaccinated individuals do not need to wear masks in most settings.
Nevada OSHA’s updated guidelines state that unvaccinated workers must be provided masks and must wear them in all settings, even when working alone.
