One80 acquires broker focused on Asian American market

Boston-based One80 Intermediaries Inc. said Tuesday it has acquired wholesaler C&M First Services Inc.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

New York-based C&M, which has about 25 employees according to its website, focuses on Asian American retail brokerages.  

Matthew F. Power, president of One80 Intermediaries, noted in a statement that Asian American-owned businesses continue to expand and develop throughout the United States.

One80 Intermediaries is the wholesale unit of Risk Strategies Co. and is the eighth-largest specialty intermediary in the United States, according to Business Insurance’s latest ranking.
