Edme Insurance Brokers appoints Nitin Firke as Managing Director of Reinsurance

India’s Edme Insurance Brokers Ltd has announced the appointment of Nitin Firke as Managing Director of Reinsurance, where he will work closely with both domestic and international partners to strengthen the broker’s position as a trusted reinsurance intermediary, based in Mumbai.

In this role, Firke will be responsible for driving innovation, building global partnerships, and delivering value-added solutions to clients through advanced risk transfer mechanisms and reinsurance advisory.

Firke brings 27 years of professional experience, including 22 years in the re/insurance industry, with deep expertise in global reinsurance strategy, international business development, and market expansion.

Most recently, Firke served as Chief of Reinsurance at Mahindra Insurance Brokers Limited for five years.

Prior to that, he held various senior roles at ICICI Lombard, most recently as Senior Vice President, Head of International Business – Inward Reinsurance.
