Gallagher Bassett names Sarah Penny as Client Services Director, UK

Gallagher Bassett, the provider of risk and claims management services and a wholly owned subsidiary of Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., has appointed Sarah Penny as Client Services Director for UK operations, reporting to John Fearn, Chief Operating Officer for the United Kingdom.

In her new role, she is responsible for looking after the firm’s valued corporate and carrier client relationships.

Additionally, Penny will work closely with GB’s business development team to ensure seamless onboarding for new clients, and continuous improvement of service for existing clients.

She will collaborate with Charlotte Harrison and Stephen Bevan, who have recently been promoted to Head of Carrier and Market Relationships, and Head of Corporate Relationships and Client Analytics, respectively.

These appointments and the focus of the roles are aligned with GB’s ambition to be the gold standard of claims partners.

She brings 15 years of industry expertise, having previously worked in key roles for Previsico, Liberty Specialty Markets, Pen Underwriting, Ecclesiastical and Allianz Insurance.

Penny started her career as a claims handler and has since built a diverse service and customer-facing skillset through managerial positions in Relationships, Business Development and Partnerships, placing her in the perfect position to steer GB’s Client Services.
