Richard Mills to lead Amiga Specialty Transactional Risks, UK & Europe as MD

Amiga Specialty, a B.P. Marsh-backed managing general agent (MGA), is welcoming Richard Mills as Transactional Risks Managing Director, UK & Europe, effective immediately.

In his new role he has been tasked with establishing the transactional risks business line for Amiga, strategic positioning, distribution and working with insurance carrier partners to provide a best-in-class service proposition.

Based in London he will be reporting to Amiga Specialty Group MD, Adam Kembrooke, who commented: “I am delighted to have someone of Richard’s calibre joining us and his appointment sets the stage for our successful entrance into the transactional space.

Mills is joining Amiga from Nexus Underwriting, where he most recently served as Transactional Risks Director. Prior to Nexus, the executive served at Capital Risks, where he started his insurance career in 2018.

Before joining Capital Mills held a number of legal roles including at Proskauer Rose LLP and Linklaters LLP.
