Nascent Group appoints Bellal Rahman as SVP

Nascent Group, a Bermuda-based insurance service provider, has announced the appointment of Bellal Rahman, formerly of Catalina Life Re, as Senior Vice President (SVP).

In his new role, Rahman will oversee a portfolio of reinsurance and insurance clients, advancing outsourced finance and reporting, statutory and prudential compliance, and operational governance for commercial carriers, insurance-linked securities (ILS) vehicles, and life reinsurance structures.

The appointment strengthens Nascent’s Insurance Management solutions for commercial carriers, deepens support for ILS sponsors, and enhances the firm’s life reinsurance capabilities.

Rahman brings more than 25 years of experience in the Bermuda re/insurance industry, with expertise spanning life and non-life re/insurance, captives, and ILS.

He joins Nascent Group from Catalina Life Re, where he served as Head of Finance, leading complex finance, regulatory, and client governance initiatives within Bermuda’s long-term (life) reinsurance market.

Prior to that, Rahman was Executive Vice President & Technical Director at Aon, where he spent several years with Aon Insurance Managers in Bermuda, supporting commercial carrier outsourcing (Class 3A and 3B) and ILS-related mandates.
