mea Platform names Rachel Watts as COO to drive AI product expansion

mea Platform, a provider of intelligent re/insurance processing technologies, has appointed Rachel Watts as Chief Operations Officer (COO).

Watts has over two decades of client implementation experience spanning re/insurance and financial services.

Most recently, Watts held a senior position at Markel, shaping IT operations strategy and directing global technology teams and client delivery.

Previously, she was at Pacific Life Re, serving as the Vice President of Global Operations and Head of Actuarial Systems, leading transformation initiatives across multiple geographies.

Before that, Watts was Global Head of Service Management at XL Catlin, responsible for global operations integration during the merger with AXA, and continued in this role at AXA XL with responsibility for global IT operations, service design, business continuity, and stakeholder engagement.

Martin Henley, Chief Executive Officer, mea Platform, commented, “AI in (re)insurance will only reach its potential if it is matched by world-class execution.

“Rachel’s operational expertise and strong leadership record ensure that we continue to surpass execution expectations and commitments, allowing more clients to quickly benefit from mea’s AI products. I’m excited for the impact Rachel will bring to our clients and the team.”

Watts added, “I’m proud to be joining mea and helping expand the company’s reputation for market-defining client service and delivery.

“The role is a special opportunity to join a company where the commitment to product is matched by the commitment to fantastic and efficient delivery. Having seen first-hand the challenges that mea solves, I’m eager to help our clients gain measurable improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and profitability.”
