Acrisure recruits former Hartford sales chief

Acrisure LLC on Monday named former Hartford Financial Services Inc. sales leader Matthew Kirk as executive vice president and head of insurance strategy and execution.

In the newly created position with the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based brokerage, Mr. Kirk will report to Grahame Millwater, president of global insurance.

Mr. Kirk, who most recently was senior vice president, chief sales and distribution officer, small commercial, at The Hartford, will focus on the deployment of artificial intelligence technology and managing general agency strategy, an Acrisure statement said.

Prior to joining The Hartford in 2006, he worked in Republican politics, including working as a deputy assistant in the George W. Bush White House.
