Verisk unveils mapping, analytics platform

Verisk Analytics Inc. said Wednesday that its Respond MAP mapping and analytics platform is included as part of the Respond weather data package. 

Respond MAP allows users to combine weather data with locations of interest, such as policies-in-force, to evaluate the impact of weather events such as hail, wind, wildfire, tornado and hurricane, Verisk said in a statement. 

The platform updates data as frequently as every five minutes and allows users to view both pre-catastrophe and post-catastrophe imagery as well as damage estimation analytics for major weather events such as hurricanes, significant tornadoes and wildfires.
