RIMS adds Kentucky chapter

The Risk and Insurance Management Society Inc. said Thursday it has added a Kentucky chapter, based in Louisville, effective immediately. 

RIMS Greater Bluegrass Chapter’s inaugural board of directors includes Erica Kiefer, senior analyst at Yum Brands Inc., who will serve as president and Dave Orberson, senior director, risk management at Churchill Downs Inc., who will serve as vice president of administration. 

RIMS now has 80 official chapters, 65 of which are located in the United States, 10 in Canada and one each in India, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand and Australia.  

RIMS Greater Bluegrass will hold a strategic planning meeting on June 9 to develop goals, programing, and a schedule for the remainder of the year and 2023, RIMS said.
