Lockton Re hires senior broker from Guy Carpenter

Lockton Re, the reinsurance business of broker Lockton Cos. LLC, said Thursday that Kathy McCann has joined from Guy Carpenter LLC as senior broker.  

Ms. McCann, based in Boston, will have a focus on property business including retrocession, a statement said.  

In her newly created role, she reports to Nick Durant, North America CEO, Lockton Re, according to an email from a spokeswoman.

She was most recently a managing director at Guy Carpenter and a branch manager for their Boston office. 

Ms. McCann was among the 2011 Business Insurance Women to Watch.
