Insurtech company FutureProof hires from Lexington

Climate-focused insurtech company FutureProof on Monday said former Lexington Specialty Insurance Agency executive Joseph Strickland has joined the company as head of underwriting.

Backed by Axis Digital Ventures and others, FutureProof plans to enter the market later this year, offering Florida excess and surplus homeowners insurance quotes through its online underwriting and pricing platform, a statement said.

Mr. Strickland was most recently senior vice president for wholesale property at Lexington, a unit of American International Group Inc.
