Newline Group names John Driscoll as Deputy CUO

Newline Group, a specialty insurance provider, has appointed John Driscoll to the newly created position of Deputy Chief Underwriting Officer.

Driscoll will be based in London, working alongside Andy Pecover, the Chief Underwriting Officer of Newline Group.

The position aligns with the company’s strategy to drive and lead its underwriting performance globally.

Driscoll has a wealth of knowledge and expertise, having first joined Newline in 2010 and, for the last decade, led Newline’s Financial Institutions team.

Simultaneously, Caroline Smith, Senior Underwriter, has been promoted to Head of Financial Institutions and will lead the Financial Institutions team moving forward.

Smith joined the team in 2014 and is well-positioned to take on this new role with over 20 years of underwriting experience in the Financial Institutions market.
