Wajahat Khawaja appointed Head of Governance and Controls at MNK Group

Wajahat Khawaja has taken on the role of Head of Governance and Controls at MNK Group, an independent organisation operating across various sectors of the insurance industry.

Bringing over three decades of experience, including extensive work internationally, Khawaja has contributed to the development of governance frameworks and control mechanisms for leading insurance firms. His background also includes involvement in broader strategic planning and business development.

At MNK Group, Khawaja will be tasked with refining and implementing group-wide policies while creating standardized control procedures across the company.

This includes managing underwriting standards, establishing peer and independent review systems, and leading the rollout of these initiatives. His leadership will support MNK Group’s cultural growth as the organisation expands its international reach.

The Group rebranded as MNK Group earlier this year to improve integration between its broking, MGA, and risk-taking businesses. This change aimed to increase coordination among teams across the UK, Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, and the Far East, with the goal of offering clients a more consistent and streamlined service.
