Oaktree names Richesh Shah as MD and Head of Americas Insurance Solutions

Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. (Oaktree), a global asset management firm specialising in alternative investment strategies, has announced the appointment of Richesh Shah as Managing Director and Head of Americas Insurance Solutions.

Based in New York, Shah will report to Greg Halagan, Managing Director and Global Head of Insurance Solutions at Oaktree.

In his new role, Shah will lead the development and management of Oaktree’s insurance client segment in the Americas and oversee the design and implementation of capital-efficient investment solutions tailored to the evolving needs of insurance clients.

He joins Oaktree from PJT Partners, where he spent the past decade as Managing Director, advising alternative asset managers, institutional investors, and corporate clients on complex capital markets and M&A transactions. Prior to that, he held roles at Blackstone and Citi.
