Arch Insurance North America names Jeff Kaufmann as EVP, Head of Marine

Arch Insurance North America has appointed Jeff Kaufmann to the newly created role of Executive Vice President (EVP), Head of Marine. He reports to Valerie Turpin, Chief Underwriting Officer, Property.

In his new role, Kaufmann will be responsible for establishing Arch’s US Marine product offerings, building a strong, specialised underwriting team and growing the book of business.

The new unit will include both Ocean Marine and Inland Marine products, and is based in New York.

Kaufmann is an industry veteran in the marine space, having delivered innovative and effective solutions for complicated exposures, including form development, both filed and non-filed, in the past.

Most recently, he served at MSIG USA, a provider of specialty insurance solutions, as the EVP and Head of Marine.
