Aon announces three executive leader appointments within EMEA commercial risk team

Global insurance and reinsurance broking group Aon has appointed three senior leaders within its Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) Commercial Risk team, as the firm looks to drive growth across the region as part of its 3×3 Plan.

The broker has appointed Paul Young as Specialty Leader for EMEA to oversee the Natural Resources, Transportation & Logistics, and Construction & Infrastructure sectors. He has been with Aon for 15 years, most recently as the Natural Resources leader for EMEA.

Chris Chadwick has been named Transportation & Logistics (T&L) Leader for EMEA. Since joining Aon in 2012, he has led the P&I team in the Global Broking Centre in London.

In his new role, Chadwick will focus on expanding Aon’s Global Logistics practice into Europe, increasing its footprint in high-potential markets, and collaborating with the GBC to develop a cohesive EMEA aviation and logistics portfolio.

Additionally, David Brining has joined Aon’s regional Natural Resources team as the Regional Director, Power & Renewables of EMEA. Most recently, Brining was at National Grid as the Group Head of Insurance and Claims.

Brining brings extensive experience from his 25-year tenure at National Grid, where he was responsible for setting insurable risk strategy, driving the growth of group captives, and delivering insurance solutions for major onshore and offshore power and gas infrastructure projects.

Young will report to Luca Tassarotti, Head of Commercial Risk in EMEA, while Chadwick and Brining will report to Young.
