Davies names Mike Heard President of Operations for North America amid strategic growth initiatives

Davies, a professional services and technology provider for the insurance and regulated markets, has appointed Mike Heard as President of Operations for its North American business.

Heard will report to Dhara Patel, CEO of Davies North America, and will be responsible for overseeing the company’s operations in the region.

He joined Davies in May 2024 as Chief Operating Officer of the Life & Health division and brings 28 years of experience in the insurance sector.

In his new role, he will manage daily back-office operations, lead efforts to integrate services, and work on expanding Davies’ service delivery capabilities. He will also be involved in the company’s development of its Generative AI strategy.

In May 2025, Davies secured £275 million in credit facilities to support investment in AI and automation, strategic mergers and acquisitions, and expansion across North America, APAC, and EMEA. This funding is intended to support Davies’ Vision 2030, which includes plans to use AI technology to improve efficiency and reduce costs for its clients.
