Aon names Eric Seyfried as MD within Cyber Solutions group

Global insurance and reinsurance broker Aon has announced the appointment of Eric Seyfried as Managing Director (MD) within its Cyber Solutions group.

Based in New York City, Seyfried will report to Brent Rieth, Global Cyber Leader at Aon. He will also serve as a strategic advisor on the Cyber Solutions leadership committee, helping to shape the group’s direction and client strategy.

Seyfried brings 30 years of industry experience to the role, with deep expertise in the cyber insurance and E&O markets.

He rejoins Aon after five years at AXIS Capital, where he most recently served as Head of E&O and Cyber Underwriting. In that role, he led the development of a high-performing team and successfully guided the portfolio through one of the most challenging market cycles in the segment’s history.

Prior to AXIS, Seyfried spent six years at Aon, where he played a key role in expanding the firm’s cyber capabilities and delivering strategic value to many of its most complex and high-profile clients. He most recently served as Managing Director – East Region Leader & Broking Officer.
