Peter Hugger joins Stonefort as Member of the Board & Executive Advisor

Stonefort Group, a reinsurance specialist headquartered in Luxembourg, has announced the appointment of Dr Peter F. Hugger as Member of the Board of Directors & Executive Advisor.

Hugger brings to his new role over three decades of leadership experience in the global reinsurance sector, having held C-level roles in Malaysia, Singapore and Switzerland.

Seventeen of those years were spent working in Asia, where he gained first hand insight into the region’s regulatory environments, multicultural business practices and fast-evolving risk landscape.

Throughout his career, the executive has held board positions at various companies, including msg global solutions and Saudi Re, and served as adviser at Sapiens, sustamize and Innoveo.

Hugger also served as Chief Executive Officer for Echo Reinsurance for six years following his three-year tenure at Asia Capital Reinsurance Group. Prior to that, he was Chief Executive Offices at msg systems Asia Pacific, Regional Head & Chief Executive Officer for the Gerling Global Re Singapore Branch and CEO at Gerling Global Re Asia branch before that.
