Broomer named President, Embedded Parametric Solutions at NormanMax

Re/insurance veteran Samuel Broomer has become President, Embedded Parametric Solutions at NormanMax Insurance Holdings, an US-based parametric re/insurance group.

Broomer brings to his new role over three decades of experience in the re/insurance industry, having most recently served as EVP, Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer at Berkley Re Solutions.

The executive joined Berkley Re Solutions, a Berkley company, in 2023 as Senior Vice President, he was then appointed Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer.

He also served as EVP, Chief Strategy & Innovation Officer for Berkley Equine & Cattle, another Berkley company, and as the Appointed California Surplus Lines Broker at Berkley Connect Insurance Solutions.

Before this, Broomer was part of Identity Theft 911, later Sontiq, TransUnion, where he held the role of Head of Business Development & Client Experience for close to two years.

He also spent over eight years at Mutual Boiler Re, where he held a number of positions, and almost a decade at HSB Group as a Director, serving as intra-company cross-sell owner, AIG Reinsurance Advisors Chairperson and other positions.
