Everest’s Paretchan joins Ascot US as SVP of partnership engagement

Insurer and reinsurer Ascot US has appointed Vahan Paretchan as Senior Vice President of Partnership Engagement for its Southeast region.

In the role, he is expected to work closely with Ascot’s US colleagues, where he will help provide the firm’s clients with customised, specialty insurance solutions in order to meet current risk challenges.

Paretchan joins Ascot following a seven year tenure at global reinsurer and insurer Everest, where he most recently served as Vice President, Sales & Distribution, Florida Territory Leader.

Prior to that role, he served as Everest’s Vice President, Risk Management Casualty – Southeast and Northeast Underwriting Manager, where he was based across New York, Philadelphia and Atlanta.

When he joined the firm in 2017, Paretchan served as Senior Underwriter, Commercial Casualty – Western Region, where he was based in Los Angeles, California.

In related news, Ascot recently appointed Mark Benz as Executive Vice President, Head of Alternative Risk Solutions, based in the New York City area.

He joined the firm following a stint at AXA, where he reportedly built out the Group Captive Practice while leading the company’s North American Alternative Risk Structures.
