RIMS names Kristen Peed as President for 2025

The Risk Management Society (RIMS) has announced the appointment of Kristen Peed as its President for the 2025 term.

Peed has been an active member of RIMS throughout her career, joining its global Board of Directors in 2018. She has served on the Executive Committee as Secretary, Treasurer, and, most recently, Vice President in 2024.

Peed brings over two decades of experience in the insurance industry. Currently, she serves as Head of Corporate Risk at Sequoia, a human resources technology platform and advisory services company. In her role, she oversees Sequoia’s corporate insurance programs, claims management, and the implementation of risk mitigation strategies.

Prior to Sequoia, Peed was Director of Corporate Risk Management at CBIZ, where she managed corporate insurance placements, crisis management, business continuity planning, enterprise risk management (ERM), and risk financing strategies, including captive operations.

Earlier in her career, Peed held various roles at Swagelok, STERIS, Oswald Companies, and BB&T.

Commenting on her new role, Peed said, “It is a brand-new day in the world of risk management.
