Lockton Re adds Moruzzi and Cope as Senior Brokers within International P&C

Lockton Re, the reinsurance arm of the independent insurance broker, has appointed Daniel Moruzzi and Matthew Cope as Senior Brokers in its International Property & Casualty (P&C) Division based in London.

Moruzzi is an industry veteran who began his career at Everest Re in 1999. There, he gained extensive knowledge and technical expertise in Casualty and Financial Lines. Following his time at the global reinsurer, he joined Barbican during the establishment of the International Casualty Treaty portfolio for the Syndicate.

He later built a similar book of business at Ascot, where he served as Class Underwriter, managing the combined International and North American portfolios. Moruzzi has also chaired the IUA Professional Lines Underwriters Group panel and served as deputy chair for the LMA International Casualty panel.

Cope brings over a decade of industry experience, having started his career at Aspen. Most recently, he worked as a Casualty Treaty Broker at Aon, where he spent eight years.

At Aon, he began with Aon Inpoint, advising re/insurer clients on corporate strategy and distribution, before transitioning to the International Casualty Treaty team. In this role, Cope was responsible for structuring and placing complex global Casualty and Financial Lines Reinsurance Treaties for major composite insurers and Lloyd’s syndicates.
