PPL launches new Express Renewal functionality

Placing Platform Limited (PPL) has launched its new Express Renewal functionality, which will reportedly make it quicker and easier for brokers to renew risks.

According to PPL, this new development builds on the Express Contract functionality introduced in September and offers several key enhancements.

PPL noted that it now enables fast-tracked single contract renewals with up to six sections, ensuring that all expiring risk data and markets are copied forward.

In addition, inception and expiry dates are automatically updated, further streamlining the process.

Meanwhile, a new navigation structure, featuring consistent signage and clear calls to action, is said to guide brokers through each step. This includes helping them identify the next steps, providing visibility into their progress, and allowing them to easily save and return to their work.

Andy Woolley, Chief Design Officer of PPL commented, “In addition to building new value add capabilities, PPL are committed to enhancing the user experience across core platform functionality.

“Express Renewal functionality is a key step on this journey and introduces a streamlined process, housed within an intuitive user interface.

“This latest development reduces the time it takes brokers to handle renewal business, lessens the risks associated with the re-keying and better supports platform users of all abilities through simple linear navigation.”

Woolley continued, “We have put in place a broad range of pre-launch and post-launch support for our 10,000 broker platform users. Over 500 users have attended training webinars and we have seen a significant spike in consumption of support material on the PPL Learning portal. I have been delighted with the positive response we have received to date.

“I’d like to thank those brokers involved in the designs of this new functionality and we look forward to releasing further enhancements throughout 2025.”
