Carbon Underwriting expands into international healthcare with appointment of Martin Leeks

Carbon Underwriting Limited, an independent managing general underwriter and Lloyd’s syndicate, has announced its entry into the international healthcare sector with the appointment of Martin Leeks as Head of International Medical Malpractice.

Leeks brings over 35 years of experience in underwriting within the global Casualty and Medical Malpractice market, including his most recent role at Everest Group.

With a proven history of building and managing profitable portfolios, Leek’s expertise will play a key role in advancing Carbon’s plans to offer high-quality underwriting solutions in the healthcare industry.

This announcement comes shortly after the appointment of Alex Poracchia as Carbon’s Chief Financial Officer, marking another significant step in the company’s growth.

The new International Healthcare division will initially focus on delegated portfolios in Australia, Canada, the UK, and Europe, operating on Lloyd’s paper.
