Marsh McLennan appoints Sofia Gardefjord as COO of Nordics

Global insurance and reinsurance broker Marsh McLennan has appointed Sofia Gardefjord as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) for the Nordics.
In this role, Gardefjord will focus on advancing commercial initiatives, strengthening client relationships across the Nordics, and fostering collaboration among Marsh, Guy Carpenter, Mercer, and Oliver Wyman.
Gardefjord brings 15 years of experience in financial services, specialising in risk management and private equity.
She joins Marsh McLennan from Oliver Wyman, where she served as Principal. Previously, she held analyst roles at Deutsche Bank and Investor AB.
Commenting on her new role, Gardefjord said, “I’m excited for the journey ahead as we put our joint effort – across the Nordics and across our four MMC companies – into finding the best solutions for our clients. Along with my colleagues, I look forward to forging deeper relationships with our clients and delivering high impact across the industries we serve.”
