Chubb names Gillston as EVP, Head of Global Casualty for Major Accounts NA

Global insurer Chubb has named Seth Gillston as Executive Vice President (EVP), Head of Global Casualty for Major Accounts in North America (NA), as Lou Capparell transitions to the role of Chairman of Global Casualty.

Capparell joined the firm in 2002 and has held his previous role since 2017.

Gillston will be based in New York City and report to Matt Merna, Senior Vice President, Chubb Group and Division President, North America Major Accounts.

His responsibilities include overseeing the Chubb Global Casualty business unit’s day-to-day operations. The unit provides domestic casualty insurance coverage and service solutions to large national and multinational companies.

Additionally, he will lead all strategies related to production, product development and management, and profit and loss performance.

Gillston has nearly three decades of industry experience. He joined Chubb in 2000 and has since held leadership roles in M&A and Private Equity, Global Casualty, the Real Estate & Hospitality Practice, the Alternative Risk Solutions group, and North America Industry Practices.
