Tokio Marine HCC expands global distribution strategy with leadership appointments

Tokio Marine HCC (TMHCC) International, part of the Tokio Marine HCC group of companies headquartered in Houston, Texas, has named Stuart Heath as Head of Distribution – International.

In this newly established role, Heath will spearhead efforts to expand TMHCC International’s distribution network, forging new partnerships and strengthening existing relationships across the UK and Europe.

His focus will be on enhancing access to the company’s specialty insurance products while driving greater collaboration across regional business units. He will report to Simon Button, Chief Underwriting Officer.

In addition to his new responsibilities, Heath will continue serving as Head of Delegated Property, a position he has held since 2019. With more than 25 years of experience in the global insurance market, he brings extensive expertise to his expanded leadership role.

The announcement coincides with the appointment of Brendan Gaine as Head of North American Distribution, reinforcing TMHCC’s commitment to optimising broker engagement across the region. Gaine’s focus will be on ensuring that Tokio Marine’s full spectrum of capabilities is readily accessible to its North American partners.

With TMHCC offering over 100 lines of specialty insurance in 180 countries, these strategic appointments mark a significant step in enhancing collaboration across its global network. As businesses face an increasingly complex risk environment, these leadership changes will provide brokers, clients, and reinsurance partners with seamless access to TMHCC’s full range of solutions.

Button commented: “We’re delighted to be appointing Stuart to this new role. With his deep knowledge of TMHCC International, in addition to his vast experience working across the UK and European markets, he will be vital in driving us forward into our next chapter of growth.”

Heath added: “I am excited to take on additional responsibilities in this newly created distribution role. My priority will be to continue strengthening our relationships with brokers and distribution partners, and to spearhead knowledge sharing across our UK and Europe business units.

“The new role will also allow underwriters to focus on what they do best, while ensuring we maximise all avenues for cross-selling. Working in tandem with Brendan Gaine, we plan to unlock new growth opportunities and provide comprehensive access to TMHCC’s extensive range of specialty insurance products.”
