USAA delivers over $1bn to members affected by California wildfires

USAA, a financial services provider for the military community, has processed 86% of wildfire claims with initial payments, delivering over $1 billion to members affected by the California wildfires.

USAA has received over 3,500 claims and is committed to providing prompt assistance, with the financial capacity to cover its members’ projected $1.8 billion in wildfire losses.

The company has activated its Wildfire Response Program, automatically enrolling eligible members in at-risk areas at no extra cost. This programme offers wildfire response services, including property damage assessments and the application of fire retardants.

In addition, USAA offers various resources to support members through recovery and rebuilding efforts. These include expedited claims handling, which streamlines processing and provides advance payments for immediate needs such as temporary housing, food, and essentials.

Financial relief programs are available for members experiencing hardship, offering payment relief or assistance for those who qualify. USAA provides 24/7 member support, with a service team available to assist with claims and provide guidance on available resources. Additionally, USAA offers access to a network of professionals to expedite home and auto repairs, ensuring priority scheduling and service.
