Brokerage Willis, a WTW business, has appointed Marsh’s Kohsuke Komorizono as Head of Risk & Analytics for Corporate Risk & Broking (CRB) in Japan.
Komorizono will be based in Tokyo and report to Roy Nakazawa, Head of Japan and Head of Corporate Risk & Broking in Japan.
He will also be part of the regional Risk & Analytics team in Asia, headed by Kevin Snowdon.
In this new role, Kohsuke will drive the delivery of Willis’ integrated risk and insurance analytics solutions and services to Japanese clients across industries.
Prior to this, Kohsuke was Marsh’s Consulting Solutions Leader of Marsh Advisory in Japan and brings extensive experience in managing risk consulting projects, and advising companies on risk management strategies.
At Marsh, he led a team focusing on property, strategic, cyber and climate risks, and worked closely with broking teams to recommend plans that helped companies mitigate their risk exposure.
Nakazawa commented on the appointment, “We are delighted to have Kohsuke join Willis in this important new role. Kohsuke has a deep understanding of Japanese business trends and challenges they face in today’s highly volatile business environment.
“To meet the needs of Japanese businesses, we will combine our leading-edge risk analytics with consulting expertise across the range of insurance and risk management specialties, including insurance placement, claims, captive and alternative risk transfer solutions, to deliver optimal outcomes for our clients.”
Snowdon added, “Jointly with our global and Asian regional Risk & Analytics teams, Kohsuke will focus on maximizing the use of Willis’ advanced risk and analytical capabilities to help Japanese companies gain better insights into risk exposures across their entire business portfolio.
“He will work closely with our team of actuaries, forensic accountants, risk engineers and risk management consultants to support Japanese clients in reducing performance volatility, and hence maximizing profitability, by using the most effective risk transfer and financing solutions.”
