RiverStone signs reinsurance to close contract with Asta

RiverStone International has signed a reinsurance to close contract with Asta Managing Agency, under which the 2022 underwriting year of account of Hampden Risk Partners (HRP) Syndicate 2689 will close into Riverstone International Syndicate 3500.
According to RiverStone, a leading acquirer of legacy business in the Lloyd’s market, the net technical provisions associated with the transaction stood at £62.5 million as of Q3 2024.

In related news, back in December of 2024, RiverStone International entered into an agreement with the French division of Zurich Insurance Europe and Zurich Insurance Company to deliver a loss portfolio transfer reinsurance and facilitate an insurance business transfer involving the French discontinued motor and architects & engineers professional indemnity portfolios.
According to the firm at the time, these transactions represented a significant milestone, highlighting its expanding presence in Europe.
