QBE appoints Beazley’s Fantozzi as Group Exec Technology & Operations

QBE Insurance has announced the appointment of Ian Fantozzi as Group Executive, Technology and Operations, subject to regulatory approvals.
Fantozzi is joining QBE after 22 years with specialist insurer Beazley, where he most recently served as CEO Beazley Digital, a role he held for almost four years.
He started at Beazley as an IT Programme Manager before being appointed Operations Manager – Marine & Energy Insurance, a role he held for two years before becoming Underwriting & Claims Operations Manager; Head of E-Business.
During his time at Bealey, Fantozzi also served as Head of Underwriting & Claims Operations – UK & RoQ and was eventually appointed COO before becoming CEO of Beazley Digital.
Through his career, the executive also served as Non Executive Chair for BHI Digital and Board Director for Beazley Furlonge Limited.
Commenting on his appointment at QBE, Andrew Horton, Group CEO, said: “Ian brings over 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry and a strong background in digital transformation.
“His expertise in developing and delivering intuitive digital insurance solutions will be invaluable as we continue to enhance our digital capabilities.”
