The UK P&I Club, a provider of protection and indemnity (P&I) insurance and other services for the international shipping community, has announced leadership changes in its Athens and London offices.
Sean Geraghty will return to the London office in April, taking on the role of Claims Operations Director after serving as Regional Director for Greece for over two years.
In his new role, Geraghty will lead the development of the Club’s global claims initiatives, working closely with senior leadership to enhance claims operations and drive process and service improvements.
Philip Clacy will assume the role of Regional Director for Greece, returning to the Piraeus office after 15 years in London.
Clacy will continue to provide exceptional support to the UK Club’s members in Greece while maintaining his global responsibilities for the Club’s services.
Andrew Taylor, Chief Executive Officer of UK P&I, commented, “We are pleased to welcome Sean back to the London office and into his new role as Claims Operations Director. Under his leadership in Greece, we have strengthened our team and established a dedicated regional service model that provides unparalleled support to Members and brokers.
“We are also delighted that Philip Clacy will return to Greece as Regional Director. The combination of Phil’s previous experience in Greece and his world-wide operational knowledge will be a fantastic asset as we continue to build and develop the strongest P&I team in Athens.”
Clacy said, “Piraeus continues to be a key centre with its unique characteristics and strong sense of community, whilst the wider Greek maritime industry continues to be unparalleled. It is important that the Club provides services and relationships that reflect the vibrancy of the market. I look forward to returning to Athens to re-establish old relationships and develop new ones, helping to lead our team in Greece to the next level.”
Geraghty added, “It has been a privilege to work with our Members in Greece over the last couple of years. I’m now looking forward to working with the leadership team to ensure that we have the advanced operational infrastructure in place to enable our global network of claims specialists to remain the first choice for outstanding service and value.”
