Baldwin Group bolsters Insurance Advisory Solutions with two appointments

The Baldwin Group has strengthened its Insurance/Advisory Solutions (IAS) division with the appointment of Leslie Nylund as National Managing Director for Broking and Insurance Company Partnerships, and Matt Kashdin as National Director of Client Engagement.

The two appointments align with the group’s focus to deepen client solutions and firm-wide execution of risk placement strategies.

In the new role, Nylund will continue to expand the development of Baldwin’s broking and placement strategy and build a “best-in-class” national broking team to support continued growth of the firm’s embedded regional placement teams.

Nylund joined the firm in 2019, bringing with her deep expertise having held senior leadership roles at some of the nation’s top insurance brokerages.

The group stated that Nylund’s expertise in placement strategy, market engagement, and carrier relations will be crucial in amplifying its accelerated growth and innovation goals.

Kashdin as the National Director of Client Engagement will channel his expertise, relationships, and skills to improve retention and maximise the coordination of resources for strategic clients and industry verticals.

Kashdin began his insurance career with The Baldwin Group in 2011 as an analyst, advancing through several leadership roles.

He will continue to maintain key insurance company partner relationships while working with Nylund to refine the firm’s strategy of cultivating significant organic, activating the firm’s full risk management capabilities, and increasing access to underwriting insight, risk capacity, and products from insurance partners to create optimal insurance protection solutions.
