AXA XL promotes Croese & Huete Santos in Construction & Energy Underwriting

AXA XL, the property and casualty (P&C) and specialty risk division of global insurer AXA, has announced two internal promotions within its APAC & Europe Construction and Energy Underwriting team.

Olivier Croese has been promoted to Head of Construction & Energy Underwriting for APAC & Europe.

With deep expertise in the energy sector, Croese began his career at Axens as a chemical engineer before joining SCOR, where he held various energy and specialty underwriting and leadership roles across France, Singapore, and Australia.

Most recently, he served as Product Leader for Energy & Construction – APAC & Europe at AXA XL since September 2022, where he played a key role in developing the underwriting strategy for AXA XL’s Energy and Construction businesses in Europe, Asia, and Australia, while overseeing its implementation and collaborating with local underwriting and distribution teams.

Susana Huete Santos has been appointed Regional Product Leader for Construction & Energy Underwriting, APAC & Europe.

Huete Santos has been with AXA XL for nearly 12 years, joining in July 2013. Prior to that, she spent almost seven years at Generali, most recently as Head of Property Underwriting.
