Global insurance and reinsurance broker Aon has promoted Oriol Gaspa Rebull to global head of analytics strategy and operations for Risk Capital, and also announced three additional new leaders.
Within the analytics team, Aon has also appointed Hetul Patel as Head of International Casualty Analytics, Gregory Larcher as US Head of Casualty Analytics, and Tamara Soyka as Head of Europe, Middle East, and Asia (EMEA) analytics, Commercial Risk.
Aon says that these appointments underscore its continued investment in the firm’s data and analytics capabilities, including its growing suite of risk analyser tools.
In the new role, Gaspa Rebull will be based in London, and report to Paul Shedden, Global Head of Risk Capital analytics, and to Magnus Roe, Global Chief Data and Analytics officer.
He will be responsible for advancing the broker’s analytics capabilities, driving strategic initiatives and overseeing the execution of data-driven solutions across reinsurance and commercial risk. He will also manage key analytics technology projects, including the implementation of new data governance frameworks and visualization tools that enhance decision-making for clients.
Gaspa Rebull most recently served as Head of UK Short Tail Analytics at Aon, where he oversaw catastrophe management, actuarial and research teams providing risk assessments to reinsurance clients.
Patel brings extensive experience in actuarial leadership and underwriting performance, having served as the Chief Actuary at Liberty Mutual Reinsurance.
Larcher brings three decades of experience in risk management and actuarial reserve analysis to the role.
Soyka, who previously served as Head of Cat Perils EMEA at Swiss Re, will focus on enhancing risk analytics capabilities across the region.
Shedden commented on the appointments, “Oriol’s deep expertise in analytics and his strategic vision make him the ideal leader to further enhance Aon’s capabilities in Risk Capital.
“In addition to Oriol, the appointments of Hetul, Gregory and Tamara will further strengthen our analytics leadership team. Their combined leadership will ensure Aon’s analytic capabilities will deliver innovative new tools and exceptional service to our clients. As organizations navigate evolving risks, the ability to integrate analytics across risk management solutions has never been more critical.”
