USI expands reach in Pacific Northwest

USI Insurance Services Inc. said Monday it has acquired Griffin MacLean Insurance Brokers.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Bellevue, Washington-based Griffin MacLean, founded in 1981, provides commercial coverage in Washington and Alaska.
The broker has 20 employees, all of whom will be joining USI, according to an email from a spokesman.
Griffin MacLean President Paul Dent said in the Monday statement the deal would give the broker an expanded set of tools and expertise.
Valhalla, New York-based USI is ranked eighth in the most recent Business Insurance rankings of the 100 largest brokers of U.S. business.
