Tokio Marine HCC boosts UK trade credit division with two major promotions

Tokio Marine HCC, a global insurance group based in Houston, Texas, and part of the Tokio Marine Group, one of Japan’s largest and oldest insurance companies, has announced two significant promotions within its UK Trade Credit Division.

Fiona O’Brien has been elevated to Credit Risk Underwriting Manager, and Will O’Brien has been promoted to Risk Underwriter.

In her new role, Fiona will lead the Risk Underwriting team and manage her own specialised portfolio while continuing to build and enhance relationships with broking partners.

With nearly 20 years in the trade credit industry, Fiona brings extensive expertise to her position.

Since joining TMHCCI in 2015 as a senior underwriter, she has demonstrated exceptional performance, particularly in managing the Retail portfolio.

Her career began at Grant Thornton and included a role as an underwriter at QBE Europe before joining TMHCCI.

Will’s advancement to Risk Underwriter involves taking on Fiona’s responsibilities for the Retail portfolio. His promotion from Credit Analyst reflects his financial skills, adept handling of complex issues, and commitment to the team’s strategic objectives.

To facilitate a smooth transition, Fiona and Will will work closely together over the coming months to update broking partners and policyholders on these changes.
