GuideOne Insurance appoints Travis Sheets as SVP & General Counsel

GuideOne Insurance Company, a provider of property and casualty insurance and risk management solutions, has announced the appointment of Travis Sheets as Senior Vice President (SVP) and General Counsel.

GuideOne outlined that in his new role, “Sheets will be responsible for corporate strategic and tactical legal initiatives, overseeing a broad range of corporate governance and legal functions, including regulatory compliance. Additionally, Sheets will provide legal advice supporting the Company’s strategic objectives while leading its legal team and outside counsel.”

Ken Cadematori, President and CEO of GuideOne, expressed enthusiasm for Sheets’ appointment, stating, “Travis is a skilled advisor and creative problem solver with demonstrated success leading business and complex legal projects.”

He added, “GuideOne is fortunate to have him join our senior leadership team.”

Sheets brings nearly 20 years of experience as a strategic business advisor, handling complex transactions and offering expertise in legal, compliance, risk management, and investor relations.

He joins GuideOne from BH, where he served as Chief Legal Officer and Secretary for six years, managing legal, compliance, risk management, investor relations, and due diligence functions with a team of over 30 professionals across multiple states.

Before that, Sheets was Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at American Equity for two years.
