Alliant hires another former Gallagher exec

Alliant Insurance Services Inc. has hired former Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. leader Doug Bixby as a senior vice president focusing on coverage for health care, life sciences and fintech companies.

Prior to joining Newport Beach, California-based Alliant, Mr. Bixby was a Chatham, New Jersey-based executive vice president at Gallagher, which he joined when the brokerage bought rival William Gallagher Associates Insurance Brokers Inc. in 2015.

On Tuesday, Alliant announced it had hired Rich Leavitt, who also worked at William Gallagher before joining Gallagher, to its health care practice.
