Accredited appoints SCOR’s Stuart McMurdo as President of UK & Europe

Global program manager Accredited Insurance Program Management has appointed Stuart McMurdo as President of Accredited UK & Europe, effective October 1st, 2024.
McMurdo will be based in London and report to William Spiegel, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Accredited.
His appointment follows the hiring of Grace Meek as President of Accredited America earlier this year, based in New York.
As President of UK & Europe, McMurdo will lead the firm’s operations across the region and become CEO of Accredited’s regulated entities, upon receiving relevant regulatory approvals.
McMurdo is an industry veteran who has held roles of increasing responsibilities at various firms.
Most recently, he was the CEO of SCOR’s global reinsurance business, where he has also held other senior roles, including Regional Head of SCOR P&C for EMEA, and CEO of SCOR UK and the SCOR Syndicate at Lloyd’s.
Before that, McMurdo served as Head of Reinsurance for Santam, one of South Africa’s largest insurers, and has held roles with Hannover Re, Glenrand MIB, and Standard Bank.

In June, Accredited was successfully acquired by Onex Partners.
