Gallagher acquires firms in Illinois, Nevada

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said Wednesday it has acquired Chicago-based Tave Risk Management LLC, a retail property/casualty broker and risk advisory firm.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 2000, Tave Risk Management serves large and mid-size companies in manufacturing, construction and financial services, as well as nonprofits, museums, universities and high-net-worth private clients.
Founder Ruth Tave, and some 20 employees will remain in their current location under the direction of Ryan Isaacs, head of Gallagher’s Midwest region retail property/casualty brokerage operations.
On Tuesday, Gallagher said it had acquired Reno, Nevada-based Richied & Associates Inc.
Founded in 1999, Richied & Associates is a retail property/casualty insurance agency serving small- and mid-market commercial clients from offices in Reno and Carson City.
Cindy Fleischer, principal, and 12 employees will remain in their current locations under the direction of Scott Firestone, head of Gallagher’s Southwest region retail property/casualty brokerage operations, Gallagher said.
