D&O MGA expands to Canada

Bermuda-based Banyan Risk Ltd., a managing general agent that underwrites directors and officers insurance, has introduced its first international subsidiary, Banyan Risk Services Ltd., in Toronto.

The MGA named Michael Densham president of the new unit. He will report to Banyan founder and CEO Tim Usher-Jones.

Banyan specializes in D&O in complex risk areas, including life sciences, global initial public offerings, the technology sector and special purpose acquisition companies.

It was formed in July through a partnership with SiriusPoint Ltd.
