Rokstone appoints Laurence Burrows to lead new US Excess Casualty division

Rokstone, a speciality re/insurance MGA and part of Aventum Group, has announced the appointment of Laurence (Larry) Burrows as Head of its newly established US Excess Casualty division.

Rokstone’s U.S. Excess Casualty division will cover a wide range of sectors, including Construction, Transportation, Energy and US & Global Fortune 1,000 risk-managed accounts. The division will focus on business-to-business commercial entities, emerging sectors like renewable energy and the AV/EV industry, as well as other niche areas where customised, individual risk solutions are needed.

With the developing back year reserves and new reserving rules impacting the market we believe the timing is perfect to further expand our Casualty offering.”

Burrows brings 15 years of industry experience to his new role. He joins Rokstone from Convex Insurance, where he served as a Liability Underwriter for four years.

Before that, he worked as a Liability Underwriter at Apollo Syndicate 1969, a Senior Underwriter at Novae, a U.S. Business Development Manager at Starr Insurance, and a Casualty Underwriter at Aspen Insurance Group.
