Lloyds Bank names De Monte as MD, Head of Insurance & Group Subsidiaries

Lloyds Bank Corporate & Institutional Banking has appointed Christian De Monte as Managing Director, Head of Insurance and Group Subsidiaries.

De Monte will join on September 2nd, and oversee two teams, one which supports the bank’s insurance clients and the other which supports its group subsidiaries client base. Based in London, he will report to Lisa Francis, Managing Director, Head of Institutional Coverage.

“Christian will be responsible for the overall strategic direction of the insurance business and will manage the relationship with several subsidiaries within Lloyds Banking Group, including Scottish Widows,” the firm explained.

De Monte has more than 16 years of banking experience, having most recently led Morgan Stanley’s insurance debt capital markets and private-side insurance solutions franchise across the UK and Europe.

Aforementioned Lisa Francis commented, “Christian will be a fantastic addition to our leadership team, bringing a deep understanding of capital and risk management strategy alongside his vast experience in originating, structuring and marketing capital raises for insurance companies.

“Our dedicated team is focused on supporting the specific needs and services required by Institutional Coverage clients and Christian’s hire underscores these ambitions. We are thrilled that he will be joining our team.”
